The client came to us with a clear mission: create a space the AI community didn’t yet have — a place to gather, connect, and experience something unforgettable. From the start, they wanted the environment to hit one emotional benchmark: “Fucking awesome… wow.” Not refined. Not subtle. Something that would stop people in their tracks the second they walked in.

Our challenge was to transform an empty warehouse into a multi-dimensional environment that could handle each function without compromising atmosphere. The vision centered on building a hall that felt textured, communal, and entirely new—a landmark space where creativity, technology, and culture actively shape one another.

Our creative direction centered on softening the industrial edge of the warehouse while amplifying its sense of play, immersion, and unexpectedness. We leaned into biophilic elements to bring warmth and life into the space — introducing a custom treehouse with swings and a lounge, faux foliage, live plants, and a multi-tiered astroturf-covered stage that merges natural texture with functional performance design.
Circular forms became a unifying motif used throughout the hall to counter the hard lines of the warehouse architecture. From lighting to furnishings to art elements, rounded and organic shapes soften the visual field and guide movement through the space. We also aligned the color palette with the client’s existing branding, grounding the environment in a cohesive, recognizable identity while still pushing it into a more immersive, art-driven direction.
We transformed the 5,000-square-foot warehouse through a full design-to-build approach, creating a multi-modal environment that hits hard the moment you walk in. What began as a raw industrial shell now operates as a high-impact venue for private concerts, dinners, hackathons, and keynote talks.
We refinished the floors, painted the ceiling, and renovated the kitchen to unify the entire environment. With flex seating zones and a dedicated game room, the hall is designed to shift quickly between use cases without ever losing intensity or atmosphere.
Within the AI community, the space has earned a reputation as one of the most impressive private event environments in the industry and in San Francisco overall. Beyond hosting gatherings, the hall serves as a powerful tool for talent attraction and retention, offering an environment that inspires, energizes, and connects the people who move through it.
