This place-making mural reimagines a 120×40' industrial building into a bold landmark. Spanning the exterior gate, interior courtyard, and the building’s front façade, the work blends large-scale mural painting with custom-fabricated steel and aluminum crows that appear to launch from the roofline. What began as an unassuming concrete structure is now a visually magnetic identifier for the client’s brand — a piece of public-facing art that anchors their mission in the physical world.

The client needed their new office to stand out in a dense industrial corridor where everything looked the same. The existing building had strong bones but zero presence. Key challenges included:
The space needed a visual identity that could rise above its environment — something bold enough to function as landmark, brand signal, and storytelling device all at once.
We built the concept around motion, identity, and transformation. Using the company’s brand palette and mission as our foundation, we developed a narrative centered on flight and momentum — a visual metaphor for innovation, clarity, and forward movement. The mural expands across surfaces in a way that feels immersive and directional, guiding the eye across the property. The sculptural crows add dimensionality and edge, creating a moment of surprise that shifts the building from static to alive.

We designed a multi-layered mural experience that pulls the building out of the industrial background and into clear focus. The outer gate introduces the visual language, the courtyard extends the story, and the main façade becomes the anchor — framed by seven custom metal crows handcrafted, painted, and installed to appear as if they’re taking flight from the roof. The final crow, engineered for high-wind conditions, completes the narrative from above.
The result is a highly recognizable landmark that reflects the client’s mission and establishes their presence within the neighborhood. What once disappeared into its surroundings is now a vibrant, unmistakable destination.
